The minimal scuffs it has can be easily filed and sanded smooth, rim polished to a brilliant shine, if one wishes. This is a complete front wheel that was removed from 1972 Bmw r60 5.

As is, the wheel is complete. The bearings and races all looked perfect, when bearing end play was checked, it within specification. The rim on this wheel has a few minor dings and rough edges but no major gouges like you normally see from wheels of era that have been through tire changes with metal irons. I do not know what the mileage on motorcycle was before removal.

The brake drum surface is flawless. Complete wheels like this are no longer available from Bmw I have idea how much a new part would retail for. If this wheel were going to be used on a restoration-quality build, you would want have it relaxed with new spokes and nipples.

All it needs is a rim flap, tire and tube ready to be mounted any Bmw 5 motorcycle. Before listing this wheel for sale, I had the hub and brake drum surface cleaned inspected. And, while the spokes and nipples are all solid, I do not believe oxidation can be polished out at this point. The spokes and nipples show signs of oxidation.

The bearings and spacers were packed with fresh wheel bearing grease before being reassembled into hub.
